NEW YORK, NY -- Michele Benjamin, a New York-based artist, is among the 27 recipients of the NYSCA/NYFA Artist as Entrepreneur Program award. Michele's inclusion highlights the program's commitment to supporting artists from diverse disciplines and backgrounds.
The NYSCA/NYFA Artist as Entrepreneur Program is a groundbreaking in-person professional development initiative designed to foster sustainability in the arts. Tailored to address global challenges while targeting specific obstacles faced by artists in Queens County, this program offers a unique opportunity for artists to thrive in today's competitive arts landscape.
"Thank you to NYFA, NYCSA, and Flushing Town Hall for the wonderful opportunity to be part of the NYFA/NYSCA Artist as Entrepreneur Program. This opportunity provided me coordination and planning for upcoming community-based projects for my individual art practice, and in collaboration with other artists in my community and beyond," said Michele Benjamin.
Thanks to the generous support of the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) in partnership with the New York State Council on the Arts' State & Local Partnerships program (NYSCA), and Flushing Town Hall, the NYSCA/NYFA Artist as Entrepreneur Program is presented to selected participants.
